The Green Room Players will be bringing another holiday classic to life this December with Miracle on 34th Street. As with previous radio play productions, this one will feature live actors, music, and sound effects.
The show is based on the 1947 movie classic of the same name, adapted for radio in 1948 by the Lux Radio Theater. Miracle on 34th Street tells the story of a department store Santa who believes he is the real Kris Kringle, and a little girl who doesn’t believe in Santa at all. His claim leads to human resources getting involved, psychiatric observation, and ultimately, a court case.
Join the Green Room Players for this family-friendly performance that captures the spirit of the season. It’s a feel-good holiday story celebrating those timeless themes of love, hope, and happiness-ever-after.
There will be two performances, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 10th and 11th, at 7pm. The story runs approximately an hour. Following the radio play, there will be a sing-along featuring songs of the season.
